"Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed... and the power of God was with Him to heal the sick."Luke 5:16–17

Everything Jesus did of power flowed from His relationship with the Father through prayer. If we want to walk as Jesus walked, we must learn to interact with the One Jesus talked with.

Of all they could have asked, they asked this.

The disciples could have asked Jesus to teach them how to heal the sick, cast out demons, preach good sermons, or live with high character. Instead, they asked: "Teach us to pray."

They recognized Jesus was not merely saying words — He was interacting with a living God that He knew as His Father.

Jesus came to earth to reveal and give us access to the God He knew — and to know Him as He knew Him: as Dad.

The shape of it

Overfamiliar with a word we know little about.

Is your prayer life dry? Do you find yourself simply saying words without an experience with a living person?

Teach Us To Pray isn't about learning to say the right words. It is about learning to interact with a living and near God.

If you want to have an ignited life of prayer, this cohort is for you.

Morning light over a quiet, lonely place

For the hungry and humble.

This isn't a place to share how much you know about prayer. This is for those who, like little children, want to grow in prayer.

"Lord, teach us to pray." — Luke 11:1

Questions

Before you ask.

What if I've never prayed out loud?

Perfect. This cohort is not for the polished. It is for those who, like little children, want to grow. You will never be put on the spot; you will be led, gently, into real interaction with a near God.

What if I can't make every morning?

Come hungry and come as often as you can. The ten consecutive mornings build on each other, so aim for all of them. If you know you will miss a few, reach out and we will talk it through.

Is this for new believers?

Yes. And for those who have walked with God for decades and find their prayer life dry. The only requirement is hunger and humility. This is not a place to show how much you know about prayer.

An ignited life of prayer.

If your heart is stirring for more than dry words, that hunger is an invitation. Sign up and let's form a cohort.
